Obituary for William Robert Dixon

William Robert "Bill" Dixon, 51, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2019 with his loving family and friends by his side. Bill was born to William J. "Bill" and Mary E. (Fox) Dixon on June 20, 1968 in Indianapolis. He graduated from Pike High School in 1986.

Bill is survived by his loving parents, Bill and Mary Dixon; his partner and love of his life, Lestra Huls; a loving sister, Denise D. (Doug) Kerr of Brownsburg; and two nephews, Bryan and Ben Kerr.

For the past 12 years, Bill has been a Certified Aircraft Welder for Aerofab Tube Processing in Indianapolis. He was also a Fabricator for Cart & CHAMP Car Open Wheel Racing Teams for about 10 years. Previously, he worked for Fox Metal Products (grandfather) and Dixon Enterprises (father). Bill was a motorcycle riding enthusiast. He was a member of Mooresville Masonic Lodge #78, Mooresville VFW Post #1111 Auxiliary, VFW Riders Post #1111, Mooresville American Legion Post #103 SAL, American Legion Riders Post #103, Mooresville Eagles Lodge #3988 and Long Neck Coffee Club. He also participated in Mooresville VFW and American Legion Honor Guard & Spur Salute.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12th and 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13th at Jones Crossing, next door to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. There will also be a 7:30 p.m. Masonic service on Tuesday evening at Jones Crossing. Chaplain Wilma Lee and Todd Gonterman will officiate Bill's celebration of life service at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13th at Jones Crossing. Bill will be laid to rest at Washington Park North in Indianapolis.
