Obituary for Willene Parrish
Willene Parrish, 84, of Gulf Breeze, Florida passed away Wednesday, October 20th, 2021. She was born December 24th, 1936 in Woodstock, Kentucky to her parents, Carl and Geneva Ruth (Denny) Poynter. She married the late Ralph Leon Parrish in 1955.
Willene is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Rick) Wilson of Gulf Breeze, Florida; two grandchildren: Travis Hineman of Seymour and Tyler (Danika) Hineman of Plainfield; step grandson, Dylan (Ally) Wilson of Indianapolis; four great grandchildren: Daulton Hineman, Trenton Hineman, Lee Hineman, and Joelle Hineman; three brothers: Wayne Poynter of Mooresville, Tom Poynter of Brookville, Florida and Clinton Poynter of Monrovia; and two sisters: Gloria Walker of Plainfield and Susie Quillen of Plainfield. Willene is preceded in death by both of her parents; and her husband, Ralph Leon Parrish.
Willene worked at Kroger in Mooresville as a Cashier for 37 years before retiring. She loved bowling and sometimes even enjoyed gambling. Willene loved her family and grandkids very much and enjoyed having breakfast with her friends often.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 5pm to 7pm, Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Son in law, Rick Wilson will officiate the celebration of life service following the visitation at 7 pm at the Funeral Home.
