Obituary for Trey J. Long

Trey J. Long, 19, of Plainfield, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020. He was born September 30th, 2000 in Indianapolis to his parents Brad and Deanna (Wiggam) Long. He was a resident of Plainfield for most of his life.

Trey is survived by both of his parents, Brad and Deanna (Wiggam) Long of Plainfield; two brothers: Tyler (Hannah Kane) Long of Illinois and Trevor (Courtney) Long of Evansville; one sister, Lindee Ann Long of Plainfield; Grandparents, Al and Carol Long of Camby; and Grandparents, Arthur Eugene and Jan Wiggam of Danville. Trey is preceded in death by his Grandmother, Linda Wiggam.

Trey was a 2019 graduate of South Putnam High School where he was senior class President and FCA President. He attended USI where he was in Student Government and a Resident Assistant. Trey greatly loved his Lord with all his heart which allowed him to have all the following attributes. He valued all of his friends. He had the most tender and sweet giving heart of anyone. Trey always had a wonderful smile. He had a lot of love and respect for the military and loved being outdoors and playing sports.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday, August 2nd and from 9 to 10 am on Monday, August 3rd at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Pastor Brad Long will officiate a celebration of life service that will be held at 10 am on Monday, August 3rd at the Banquet Center. Trey will be laid to rest at Mill Creek Cemetery in Danville, where a private graveside service will be held. The family asks that masks are worn and social distancing be practiced to ensure the safety of all family members during visitation and services.
