Obituary for Thomas Michael Avery

Thomas Michael Avery, 43, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully on Oct. 4, 2014. Thomas was born to Thomas E. and Donna (Hall) Avery on April 9, 1971 in Indianapolis.

Thomas was a 1989 Decatur Central High School Graduate and attended Butler University for 1 year on a diving scholarship. He was a Waiter at Squealers in Mooresville for 3 1/2 years. He enjoyed swimming, diving and camping. He has lived in Louisville, KY for 20 years and his birthplace of Indianapolis for 18 years.

Thomas is survived by his parents, Thomas and Donna (Hall) Avery of Greenwood; a sister, Tammy (Jason) Brenneman of Monrovia; a brother, John Brackin of FL and a niece, Brooke Brenneman of Monrovia.

Family and friends may gather from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Doug Caister will officiate the 6 p.m. celebration of life service on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville.
