Obituary for Ted R. Cook
Theodore R. "Ted" Cook, 73, of Mooresville, passed away Friday, October 22nd, 2021. He was born January 29th, 1948 in Indianapolis to his parents, Kelsa and Betty Jean (Minor) Cook. He married Susan L. (McGinness) Cook on July 2nd, 1980. He spent most of his childhood in Decatur Township but was a resident of Mooresville for most of his life.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Susan L. (McGinness) Cook of Mooresville; two children: Julie L. Harper of Florida and Robert J. McGinness of Mooresville; three grandchildren: Athena, Robyn and James; one great granddaughter; and one brother, Rex Cook. Ted is preceded in death by both of his parents.
Ted is a 1966 graduate of Decatur Central High School. He was a Dispatcher for Mooresville Police Department for 39 years before retiring in 2013. Ted enjoying fishing and hunting.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8pm on Tuesday, October 26th and from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, October 27th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, October 27th at the funeral home. Ted will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
