Shelby E. Whitsett

Shelby E. Whitsett, 30, of Mooresville, passed away Thursday, August 12th, 2021. She was born July 12th, 1991 in Indianapolis to her parents Troye and Sherri (Elliott) Whitsett. She was a resident of Indianapolis for most of her life. Shelby is survived by her parents, Troye and Sherri (Elliott) Whitsett of Mooresville; grandparents: Edna Miller of Martinsville and Darla Elliott of Greenwood; her three aunts; Traci (Michael) Mason, Julie Elliott, Bette Pierson; one uncle; Jeff (Rhonda) Whitsett; and seven cousins; Ava Elliott, Cody Elliott, Jackie Mason, Caleb Mason, Alania Hinson, Kristen Whitsett, Brandon Whitsett and Brad Higgenbotham. Shelby is preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles V. Elliott; her grandmother, Sharon Whitsett; and her uncle, Charles Elliott. Shelby was a 2010 graduate of Decatur Central High School and later attended Ivy Tech College. She was a member of Lakeview Church in Indianapolis. Shelby had a love for music. Along with a positive outlook on life, Shelby was known for having a loving soul and had a special way of showing it. Bringing joy to everyone's lives is what she will be remembered for the most. She loved her family dearly. Family and friends may show their love and support from 5 to 8 pm on Tuesday, August 17th and from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, August 18th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Pastor Luke Proctor will officiate a celebration of life service that will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 18th at the funeral home.
