Obituary for Ronald R. Reaves

Ronald R. Reaves, 60, of Avon, IN passed away at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on Friday, April 19, 2013. He was born in Wadesboro, NC on September 19, 1952 to Prentice Reaves and Iola (Davidson) Smith. He married Laverna (Knisely) Reaves on April 15, 1978.

Ron lived most of his life in the Indianapolis area and previously in Ft. Wayne, IN for 14 years, Kendallville, IN for 19 years and Carrie, KY for 5 years. Ron was a Salesman for Aaron-York Heating and Cooling in Indianapolis for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and going to garage sales. Ron was a 1971 graduate of East Noble High School.

Ron is survived by his wife, Laverna (Knisely) Reaves of Avon; mother, Iola (Davidson) Smith of Kendallville, IN; son, Zach Reaves of Avon; daughter, Tabitha (Ron) McClure of Mooresville; 4 grandchildren: Tyler, Ryan, Kyle and Devon and 4 brothers and 1 sister. Ron was also preceded in death by his father, Prentice Reaves and step father, Harold Smith.

Friends and family may gather from 4-8pm, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary and from 10-11am, Thursday, April 25, 2013. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11am, Thursday, April 25, 2013 also at Jones Family Mortuary.
