Obituary for Roger Wayne Spaulding

Roger Wayne Spaulding, 59, of Alexandria and formerly of Friendswood left behind his pain and suffering on July 15, 2022. He had been fighting cancer for several months and was confident about getting better and returning to work after his treatments were completed. Sadly things got out of control a few weeks ago and he had to be hospitalized and could not recover, as he so desperately wanted to do.

Roger was born on March 8, 1963 in Indianapolis to Wilber and Mary Lois (Parsons) Spaulding. He married Kim Rhude on May 11, 1989.

Roger was a 1981 graduate of Plainfield High School. He attended ITT Technical Institute following high school and received a certificate of training in Heating and Cooling. Roger worked at several places over the years including Target Warehouse in Indianapolis for nearly 20 years. His most recent place of employment was at NTN Driveshaft in Anderson, where he had worked the last few years. No matter where Roger worked, he was considered to be a faithful and reliable employee and was well-liked by his co-workers.

Roger is survived by his wife, Kim; two sons: Michael Wayne and Cody Dale Spaulding; his mother, Mary Lois Spaulding; his sister, Diana (Dan) Winings and two brothers: Ron and David Spaulding. He is preceded in death by his father, Wilber Spaulding.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 12:30 pm to 2 pm, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Jason Hull will officiate the celebration of life service following the visitation at 2pm at the Funeral Home. Roger will be buried in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
