Robert Dale Griffith, 71 years of age passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010. He was born July 28, 1938 in Mooresville, IN to the late John B. Griffith Sr. and Virginia Margaret (Clarkston) Griffith. He married Nancy (Perry) Griffith of Mooresville, IN on October 13, 1960.

Robert is a lifetime resident of Mooresville, IN. He was an Army Veteran and was a member of the Highland Creek Baptist Church in Martinsville, IN. He loved fishing, the outdoors, and animals. Before retiring in 2000, he was a Truck Driver for Preston in Indianapolis, IN for 40 years.

Robert is survived by his Wife, Nancy (Perry) Griffith of Mooresville, IN; 5 Children: John Robert Griffith of Morgantown, IN, Timothy Dale Griffith of Mooresville, IN, Cathy Jowanna (Paul) Richardson of KY, Joe (Tori) Griffith of KY, and Terry Lee Griffith of Mooresville, IN; 5 Grandchildren: Ginny (Louie) Clark, Paul Ryan Richardson, Robert Cassidy Griffith, Megan Kay Griffith, and Eric Kyle Griffith; 1 Great Granddaughter, Audrey Dane Clark; 2 Brothers, John B. (Sandra) Griffith Jr. of Martinsville, IN and Jimmy Wayne Griffith of Brooklyn, IN; 5 Sisters: Joanne (Dave) Boys of Martinsville, IN, Brenda (Virgil) Weddle of Indianapolis, IN, Joy (Steve) Lehr of Mooresville, IN, Judy (Rudy) Richardson of Indianapolis, IN, and Suzanne Griffith of Brooklyn, IN.

There will be calling hours from 4-8pm, Wednesday, January 13, 2010 and from 12-1pm, Thursday, January 14, 2010 all at Jones Crossing Banquet Center (right next door to Jones Family Mortuary). The funeral will be at 1pm, Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center with David Ball and Robert Walters to officiate. Robert will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville, IN and Memorial Contributions may be made to the Morgan County Humane Society.
