Obituary for Richard L. Swain
Richard L. Swain, 71, of Martinsville, passed away Monday, August 23rd, 2021. He was born October 10th, 1949 to his parents, William and Anna (Wurtz) Swain. He lived most of his life in Indianapolis.
Richard is survived by three children, Richard (Christina) Swain of Mooresville, Malibu (Justin) Birch of Indianapolis, and Alisa Davis of Lebanon; mother, Anna (Wurtz) Swain; seven grandchildren: Brittanie Swain, Skyler Swain, Dakota Birch, Sarah Birch, Laurel Birch, Jazz Cooper, and Dillon Melson; four great grandchildren, Arthur Cooley, Carl Cooper, Brantlee Cooper, and Declan Cooper; and three brothers: Terry, Chris, and Tim Swain. Richard is preceded in death by his father, one brother, Ron Swain, and one sister, Connie Swain.
Richard was a graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis. He owned and operated Sunshine Polishing Co. in Indianapolis for 40 years. Richard enjoyed golfing and admiring his hotrods.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, August 26th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 26th at the Funeral Home. Richard will be laid to rest at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
