Obituary for Ray A. Bell

Ray A. Bell, 73, of Waverly, IN, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2013. Ray was born to Levi O. Bell & Imogene (Lakin) Boicourt on June 25, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN. Ray was a graduate of Decatur Central High School. Ray married Clyde Dean "Cotton" (Johnson) Bell on July 24, 1971.

Ray was a Truck Driver for Tucker Freight Lines in Indianapolis, IN for 25 years. Ray was a member of the Westside Apostolic Church in Indianapolis, IN & Teamsters Local #135. Ray loved NASCAR Racing. Ray has lived in Waverly, IN for the past 41 years.

Ray is survived by his wife of 41 years, Clyde Dean "Cotton" Bell of Waverly, IN; 5 children, Cindy (Doug) Strain of Franklin, IN, Ray Bell II of Taswell, IN, Alan Ashley of Waverly, IN, David Ashley of Waverly, IN & Michael Hendren of Waverly, IN; 9 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren & a sister, Helen McMullen of Indianapolis, IN. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Levi Bell & Imogene (Lakin) Boicourt & a brother, Kenneth Bell.

Family & friends may attend calling hours from 12-2 pm, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Tony Oliver will officiate the 2 pm Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary.
