Obituary for Phyllis J. Warriner (Moore)

Phyllis J. (Moore) Warriner, 97, of Plainfield, passed away Monday, March 27th, 2023. She was born July 2nd, 1925 in Indianapolis to her parents Howard H. and Jeanette I. "Jenny" (Whitson) Moore. She married the late Earl W. Warriner Jr. on August 24th, 1946. She was a resident of Camby for most of her life.

Phyllis is survived by her two daughters: Jacque Doucey of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Debbie Flowers of Plainfield; daughter in law, Kathy; 6 grandchildren: Nikki, Jon, Scott, Kyle Warriner, Chris Robertson, and Matt Doucey; and 10 great grandchildren: Amira, Andrew, Oliver, Vivien, Charlotte, Lily, Nate, Luke, Madelyn and Addison. Phyllis is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Earl W. Warriner Jr.; her son, Tom Warriner; three brothers: Bud, Kenny, and Bob Moore; and two sisters: Florence Bailey and Mary Ann Seerely.

Phyllis was a 1943 graduate of Decatur Central High School. She was Owner of Tri- County Sports in Mooresville for 7 years before retiring in 1987. Phyllis was a member of Plainfield Christian Church and a 50 year member of West Newton Order of Eastern Star. She loved her family dearly, especially all of her grandchildren. Phyllis enjoyed shopping, being with friends, and playing cards.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 to 2 pm on Sunday April 2nd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm following visitation at the funeral home. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Mooresville Cemetery in Mooresville.
