Peggy Ann (Parker) Worrell, 73, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021. She was born October 2, 1947 in Indianapolis to her parents, Paul and Georgianna (Knox) Parker. She married Michael L. Worrell on September 2, 1968 and later divorced. She lived in Martinsville for most of her life but was a resident of Greenwood since 1993.
Peggy is survived by her two daughters: Dawn (Kevin) Rogier of Mooresville and Heather (Jeff) Mullins of Nineveh; three grandchildren: Levi, Sidney, and Lane; one brother, Dan Parker of Martinsville; and one niece, Brittany (Michael) Stewart. Peggy is preceded in death by both of her parents; her ex-husband, Michael L. Worrell; and grandparents: Pink and Hugh Knox.
Peggy was a 1965 graduate of Mooresville High School and later attended Purdue University, graduating in 1985 with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology. She worked as a Medical Technologist at Methodist Hospital, Benesse Oncology and most recently at Major Hospital in Shelbyville, Indiana before retiring in 2011. Peggy loved sewing, baking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her beloved dog Zoey, family, friends and mostly her grandkids.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, April 12th and from 9 to 10 am on Tuesday, April 13th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, April 13th at the funeral home. Peggy will be laid to rest at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Waverly, Indiana.
