Obituary for Peggy J. Beasley (Campbell)

Peggy J. (Campbell) Beasley, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, April 7th, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born February 4th, 1928 in Ashahka, Idaho to her parents, Otis and Mildred (McCullough) Campbell. She married Ernest Beasley on February 4th, 1948 and they spent 73 years together. She was a resident of Indianapolis for most of her life.

Peggy is survived by her four children: David Ernest Beasley of Florida, Robert (Debbie) Beasley of Mooresville, Gary Beasley of Florida, and Ron Beasley of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren: Kim Pollard, Kelley Fisher, Katie Merriman, Shawn Beasley, Tyler Beasley, Christy Brooks, Stephanie Beasley, Jon Beasley, Lauren Beasley, Davanna Osinska, and Nicholas Beasley; 29 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. Peggy is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Ernest Beasley; one brother, Thomas Campbell; and one grandson, Curtis Beasley.

Peggy was a 1948 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. She was a Cafeteria Worker for Decatur Central High School as well as Shelbyville High School for a few years. Peggy enjoyed spending her time crocheting and quilting. She also loved doing word searches, coloring, and bingo. Most of all, Peggy loved being a housewife, mother, and grandma.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 11am to 2pm on Tuesday, April 12th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 2pm following visitation at the funeral home. Peggy will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ernest Beasley, at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton.
