Palmer Zigler

On February 4th, 2023 at 1:05 am, Palmer "Junior" Zigler Jr. entered the gates of heaven to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Junior was born in Daviess County, Indiana on September 2nd, 1937 to his parents Palmer and Francis Zigler. He grew up in Elnora, Indiana. On February 4th, 1955, he married the love of his life, Betty (Grove) Zigler. He was a Sheet Metal worker with the Union Sheet Metal Workers #20. He loved music, particularly the banjo and guitar music, fishing, camping, going to yard sales, collecting antiques and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member of Pilgrim Chapel Pilgrim Holiness Church in Indianapolis, Indiana for many years and most recently attended Calvary Bible Wesleyan Church in Plainfield, Indiana.

Junior is survived by his wife, Betty Lou (Grove) Zigler of Mooresville; his children: Steve (Linda) Zigler of Brownsburg, Rick (Debbie) Zigler of Fillmore, Pam (Tim) Atchley of Westport, and Greg (Shirley) Zigler of Paragon; two sisters: Vernadine Foster of Washington, Indiana and Betty Monnett of Brazil; 12 grandchildren: Jacob (Crystal) Zigler, Jessica (Christopher) Taylor, Janetta Privett, Christopher (Jennifer) Zigler, Bradley (Emily) Zigler, Adam (Jennifer Bendickson) Zigler, Ryan (Rachel) Zigler, Becky (Matt) Pile, Laura Stuart, Tom (Jordan) Atchley, Scott (Jessica) Zigler, and Cody Zigler; one step grandson, Philip (Alisa Pruitt) Smith; 16 great grandchildren; and one step great grandson. He is preceded in death by both of his parents; his son, Rodney Zigler; a great grandson; two sisters: Margaret Foster and Mary Denton; and two brothers: Kenny Zigler and infant William Zigler.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 5 to 8 pm on Tuesday, February 7th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am with a visitation from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, February 8th at Calvary Bible Wesleyan Church, 168 Lawndale Dr, Plainfield, IN 46168. Junior will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Elnora, Indiana.
