Obituary for Opal Elizabeth Fox

Opal Elizabeth (Renner) Fox, 90, of Camby, passed away peacefully at home on June 1, 2019. She was born to John E. and Sarah A. (Krewson) Renner on July 16, 1928 in Indianapolis. She graduated from Mooresville High School in 1946. She married George D Fox on October 11, 1946.

Opal is survived by five loving children, Connie (Dan) Wagner of Mooresville, Peggy Fox of Camby, Marti (Robert) Lambert of Camby, David (Debbie) Fox of Martinsville, Joanna (Paul) Houck of Camby; 11 grandchildren, Melanie Lake, Betsy Sherwood, Kevin Lambert, Katie McCarty, TyAnn Gillum, David George Fox, Alan M. Fox, Andrew W. Fox, Laura Houck, James Houck and Rachel Houck; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Troke of Mooresville, Shirley Dodd of Indianapolis, Rose Renner of GA; and one brother, David Renner of Mooresville. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, George D. Fox; a grandson, Matthew Fox; and two brothers, Larry and John Renner.

Opal was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She has been the owner of Fox's Feed Store since 1986. She was also a lifetime farmer and dairy farmer. She was a very active member and taught Sunday School to two and three year olds for 42 years at Grace Missionary Church.
She was an excellent seamstress and baker. She was a very active grandmother and great-grandmother. She especially loved having Sunday dinners with family. She lived in Camby for most of her life.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4th and 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5th at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Pastor Marty Longcor will officiate Opal's celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5th at Jones Crossing Banquet Center. Opal will be laid to rest in Mooresville Cemetery.
