Obituary for Novalee June Ellyson (Oliver)
Novalee June (Oliver) Ellyson, 86, of Camby, passed away Tuesday, April 6th, 2021. She was born January 24th, 1935 in Ullin, Illinois to her parents, Ralph and Edna Luvetia (Ervin) Oliver. She married Bernard Lynn Ellyson on June 25th, 1955. She was a resident of Camby for most of her life.
Novalee is survived by her two children: Lynette (Kyle) Skaggs of Camby and Luvetia Rose Schweinsberg of Mooresville; one daughter in law, Nancy Ellyson of Camby; eight grandchildren: Jason, Jamie, Jeremy, Ashley, Victoria, John, Mathew, and Lucas; and 10 great grandchildren: Faith, Gracie, Ethan, Alaina, Oliver, Harper, Hayes, Noah, Henzlee, and Jayslynn. Novalee is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Bernard Lynn Ellyson; one son, Lynn Ellyson; and one brother, Ray Oliver.
Novalee was a 1953 graduate of Speedway High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Waverly Baptist Church. Novalee enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren, as she loved her family very much. She loved making quilts for her grandchildren.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 10 am to 12 pm (noon) on Friday, April 9th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Pastor David Ball will officiate a celebration of life service that will be held at 12 pm (noon) following visitation at the funeral home. Novalee will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
