Obituary for Norma A. Porritt

Norma A. Porritt, 81, of Mooresville passed away on May 26, 2012 in Meadow Lakes. She was born on January 25, 1931 in Indian Springs, IN to the late Harvey J. and Mary Belva (Webster) Gee. She married the late Myron L. Porritt on September 30, 1980.

Norma lived 19 years in Odon, IN and the last few years in Mooresville, IN. She was a 1950 graduate of Odon High School. She was a bookkeeper for HP Chemical and Indianapolis Gas Company for several years and was also a proud homemaker. She was a member of Church of Christ in Gosport, IN.

Norma is survived by 7 children: F. Daniel Howard of Clayton, IN, Cynthia L. Andrews of Centerton, IN, Denise K. Selke of Mooresville, IN, J. Faye Fitzgerald of Indianapolis, IN, Gregory L. Howard of Hammond, IN, Perry R. Howard of Columbus, IN and Jeffrey S. Howard of Martinsville, IN; 5 step children: Don, Rick and Craig Porritt and Judy Kreusser and Sheila Duncan; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; 4 siblings: Wilma Burch of Evansville, IN, Harvey Owen Gee of Plainfield, Charlie Gee of Plainfield, IN and Gary Gee of Ohio. She is also preceded by her husband, Myron L. Porritt; parents, Harvey J. and Mary Belva (Webster) Gee; son, Steven Douglas Howard; granddaughter, Christine Renee Bailey; great granddaughter, Kaylee Christine Miller and a sister, Millie Hasson.

There will be a graveside service at 2pm, Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, IN. Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville is handling arrangements.
