Obituary for Morce Harold Brandenburg

Morce Harold Brandenburg, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, November 4th, 2021. He was born July 5th, 1939 in Fixer, Kentucky to his parents, Lewis Lee and Elise (Williams) Brandenburg, where he spent his early childhood. He was a previous resident of Richmond, Indiana for 17 years and later moved to Greenville, Ohio for two years and resided in Piqua, Ohio for five years. He was a resident of Indianapolis for most of his life.

Morce is survived by his two children: son, Richard Brandenburg of Plainfield and daughter, Taunya Bedell of Camby; three grandchildren: Jay, Joshua "Tori" and Chandler Bedell; and one brother, Dewey "Carl". Morce is preceded in death by both of his parents; four brothers: Willis, Clem, Carroll "Bill, and Roy Brandenburg; and three sisters: Mila Carpenter, Lila Webber, and Barbara Brandenburg.

Morce was a 1957 graduate of Richmond High School. He was a Lead Crew Chief for TWA then for American Airlines for a total of 38 years before retiring in 2007. Morce also worked at Marsh supermarket during his time at TWA. Following his retirement he worked as a Security Officer for the Indianapolis Colts, working their games for the last 10 years. Morce was an avid football fan. Hosting many Sunday Football dinners at his house, he always rooted on the Indianapolis Colts, but was a closet Packers fan. Morce worked security at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for 5 years, which he took with great excitement, as he loved to follow Nascar. He was a big Jeff Gordon fan. Morce was a member of the German Royal Family, a direct descendent of Fredrick, The Great Elector. He was an avid collector of Angels, his collection consisted of over 500 items. Morce was known as a hard working man by many, but most of all a family man, who will be greatly missed by all.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 (noon) to 1 pm on Wednesday, November 10th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 pm at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, where Morce will be laid to rest.
