Obituary for Mildred E. Turley

Mildred E. Turley, 100, of Mooresville, passed away on April 18, 2012 in Meadow Lakes. Mildred was born on January 4, 1912 in West Newton, IN to the late Roscoe and Jennie (Spencer) Plummer. She married the late Harold D. Turley on June 25, 1933.

Mildred spent her childhood in West Newton, IN and most of her life in Mooresville. Mildred was a 1930 graduate of Mooresville High School. She worked for Mooresville Consolidated Schools as a cafeteria worker for 28 years before retiring in 1982. She also enjoyed working with crafts and sewing.

Mildred is survived by 4 children: Billy Joe Turley of Florida, Jay D. Turley of Mooresville, Barbara Charlene Fisher of Carmel and Jerry L. Turley of Mooresville; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents, Roscoe and Jennie (Spencer) Plummer; husband, Harold D. Turley and brother, Edgar Plummer.

Friends may call from 2-6pm, Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary and 9:30-10:30am, Monday, April, 23, 2012. Funeral services will be at 10:30am, Monday, April 23, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary with Terry Crist officiating. Mildred will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Midwest Affiliate, Attn: Memorial/Tribute Processing Center, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674.
