Obituary for Mary Jane Kollman

Mary "Jane" Kollman, 92, of Nashville, passed away peacefully on Nov. 18, 2014. Mary "Jane" was born to Oden and Loretta B. (Wicker) Brandenburg on June 30, 1922 in Indianapolis. Jane was a 1940 Southport High School Graduate. Jane married William "Bill" E. Kollman on April 30, 1944.

Jane was a Secretary for Laboratory Supply in Indianapolis for 7 years, retiring in 1982. Previously, she worked at Red Ball, Stewart Carey Glass and Airport Hilton. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the West Newton Order of Eastern Star #489. She has lived in Nashville since 2004 and her birthplace of Indianapolis for most of her life.

Jane is survived by a daughter, Janet (Tom) Gaskins of Nashville; three grandchildren, Cassi, Jeremiah and Jason; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Mettie Vance of Indianapolis; five nieces, Diane Buffaloe, Rita Charleston, Loretta Barnes, Ginny Wittel and "George" Toon and two nephews: Sam Vance and Sam Brandenburg. Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Oden and Loretta (Wicker) Brandenburg; her husband of nearly 60 years, Bill Kollman; two brothers, Samuel Brandenburg and Roy "Mutt" Brandenburg and a sister, Virginia Sutton.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville.
