Obituary for Margo Mae Luka

Fred Emil and Margo Mae Luka, of Stilesville, suddenly passed away only 26 minutes apart due to an unforeseen accident. Margo was born in Decatur, IL on October 27, 1938 to the late George Wesley Karl and June Maxine (Anderson) Karl Gaffron. Fred and Margo were married 62 years uniting in marriage on October 18, 1958.

Margo worked in maintenance for U.S. Air for 25 years before retiring in 1995. She was an avid golfer and member of a ladies golf team for many years; enjoyed bowling; as a young girl loved roller skating and most of all adored and lived for her family.

Both Fred and Margo were active members for almost 40 years at Lakeview Church. Both were fervent lovers of the Lord and Margo was passionate about benevolence and greeting at the door.

Fred and Margo are survived by their 2 children: Kim Nichols of Plainfield, IN and Randall "Randy" (Karleen) Luka of Mooresville, IN; 4 grandchildren: Jeremy Giddens, Shannon Cooper, Thomas Buckrop, Lydia Myers; 6 great grandchildren: Braden, Madison, Brody, Israel, Emma and Layla.

Margo is also survived by her sister, Lynda Pivik of Wyoming and 2 brothers: William Karl and Bobby Gaffron both of Illinois and preceded in death by her parents.

Private visitation and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. A memorial service for family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.

Per their wishes, please refrain from sending flower arrangements as Margo only wanted flowers while she was alive. We know she is now tending the garden of Heaven.
