Obituary for Margaret J. Peg Palmer

Margaret J. "Peg" Palmer, 87, of Camby, went to be with the Lord with family by her side on December 20, 2014.

Peg was born to Willard A. and Cleo (Ellis) Barney on April 28, 1927 in Indianapolis.

She attended Decatur Central High School and was a 1944 graduate of Arsonal Tech High School. She married Marvin F. Palmer on February 13, 1948.

Peg was a teller at Indiana National Bank and retired as a bookkeeper for Capitol Oil.

She was a member of Camby Community Church. For over 50 years, she was a member of the Eastern Star, with affiliation to both West Newton Chapter #489 and Mooresville Chapter #260. She was also a member of Jobs Daughters and served as a Council Member at West Newton Bethal #86.

She lived most of her life in Camby, moved to Mooresville with her daughter Jane Wennen in 2004 and spent the last 3 years with her son, Jim in Holland, New York.

Peg is survived by her son, James (Zoe) Palmer of Holland, NY and daughter, Jane (Martin) Wennen of Mooresville; seven grandchildren: Marcus, Michael, Allison, Drew, Joshua, Jonathon and Nicholas; five great grandchildren: Dante, Mason, Noah, Violet and Jameson. She is also preceded in death by husband, Marvin; daughter, Sharon E. Griswold; sister, Jean Wade and Brother, Robert Barney.

Family and friends may gather at 10:30am, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Camby Community Church with Charles Paxton officiating the 11am celebration of life service. Peg will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery. Arrangements held by Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville.
