Margaret J. Marcum, 80 years of age, of Indianpolis, IN passed away Monday, October 25, 2010. She was born December 29, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN to the late Stanley and Eleanor (Lang) Jobe. Margaret married the late Leonard H. Marcum on March 24, 1951.

She lived in Indianapolis, IN for 69 years and in Vincennes, IN for 6 years. Margaret was a 1947 Graduate of St. Johns Academy in Indianapolis, IN. She loved history and reading and served on the West Newton Cemetery Board of Directors. Before retiring in 1992, she was a Claims Clerk for Duracell Company in Indianapolis, IN for 20 years.

Margaret is survived by 3 Children: Stephen Marcum of Indianapolis, IN, Kathy (Kenneth) Simpson of Camby, IN, and Robert Leonard Marcum of Indianapolis, IN; 5 Grandchildren: Stephanie Gross, Kyle and Kraig Simpson, Amanda and Dustin Marcum; 4 Brothers: Stanley, Anthony, Michael, and Gerald Jobe; 3 Sisters: Helen Pugh, Barbara Slayton, and Shirley Shacklett; and 4 Step Grandchildren: Doug Marcum, Michelle Pounds, Sherill Hansell, and Steve Stiegelmeyer. She is also preceded in death by 3 Brothers: James, Paul, and Lewis Jobe; and 2 Step Children, Arlis Marcum and Joyce Cannon.

There will be calling hours for Margaret from 10am - 2pm, Friday, October 29, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. The funeral will be at 2pm, Friday, October 29, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. Don Foley will officiate the service and Margaret will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
