Obituary for Lucy (Hendren) Joseph

Lucy Joseph, 77, of Camby, IN, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2022. Lucy was born to Jimmy and Christine (Godbey) Hendren on July 16, 1944 in Danville, KY. Lucy married James Joseph on April 13, 1963 and they have three children, Judy Jones, Wanda Terrell, and Gary Joseph.

Lucy was a CNA in Plainfield, IN for over 20 years. Before becoming a CNA, Lucy found a love for making shoes at Genico and wrapping presents for others at Hub Frankle. Over the years, Lucy was known as the queen of wrapping! She had a love for Bynum’s Steakhouse, fishing, boating, garage selling, the casino, euchre, and going to every event of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life along with her grand fur babies, Jasper, Sadie, Millie, and Gizmo.

Lucy is survived by her three children, Judy Jones of Mooreville, IN, Wanda (Jeff) Terrell of Mooresville, IN, and Gary Joseph of Camby, IN; seven grandchildren, Chris & Victoria Jones, Danielle & Morgan Terrell, and Caitlin (Rinehart), Emily, & JT Joseph; four great grandchildren Brayleigh & Hunter Jones, and Sawyer & Easton Rinehart; One brother, William (Linda) Hendren. Lucy is preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph and her parents, Jimmy and Christine (Godbey) Hendren.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 2nd and from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, March 3rd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, March 3rd at the funeral home. Lucy will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
