Obituary for Madonna Louise Stephens (Blue)

Madonna Louise (Blue) Stephens, 83, of New Whiteland, passed away Tuesday, June 1st, 2021. She was born April 16th, 1938 in Cloverdale to her parents, Glen A. and Della May (Cook) Blue, where she lived for 12 years. She married Cleo D. "Steve" Stephens on November 2nd, 1996. She was a previous resident of Indianapolis for seven years, San Jose, California for 30 years, Mooresville for 10 years, New Smyrna Beach, Florida in the winter time for 22 years, and was a resident of New Whiteland for 15 years.

Madonna is survived by her loving husband of nearly 25 years, Cleo D. "Steve" Stephens of New Whiteland; three children: Bobby (Marilyn) Lee Jones of San Jose, California, Barbara Jean Benskin of Mooresville, and Alan (Brenda) Lee Stephens of Kalamazoo, Michigan; six grandchildren: Eddie Martinez, Shelley Hensley, Callie Jones, Zachary Stephens, Tyler Stephens, and Erin Pritchard; three great grand children: Leo Martinez, Grace Hensley, and Charlotte Hensley; and one sister, Madelyn Lucille Allison of Indianapolis. Madonna is preceded in death by both of her parents and one brother, Larry Gene Blue.

Madonna was a hair beautician for Phyllis & Co in Indianapolis for 30 years before retiring in 1996. She attended Brooklyn Christian Church. Madonna loved spending time with her kids and grandkids and she especially enjoyed taking photos of her family.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Monday, June 7th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will begin at 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Madonna will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
