Obituary for M. Novella Bensheimer

M. Novella Bensheimer, 89, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2013. Novella was born to Marvin & Virgie (Keltner) Matney on May 12, 1923 in Greensburg, KY. Novella married Eugene R. Bensheimer on December 31, 1988.

Novella was a self employed Beauty Operator for 30 years, retiring in 1993. Novella lived in Indianapolis, IN for most of her life, Mooresville, IN for 2 years and Kentucky of 20 years.

Novella is survived by her husband of 24 years, Eugene R. Bensheimer of Indianapolis, IN; 2 daughters, Betty (Richard) Basore of Indianapolis, IN & Wanda (Michael) Healy of Indianapolis, IN; a step daughter, Barbara Spears of Indianapolis, IN; 5 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren; 2 step granddaughters, 3 step grandchildren & 1 step great great grandson & 2 sisters, Lula Vernell Whitlock of Mooresville, IN & Arlene Featherston of Indianapolis, IN. Novella is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin & Virgie (Keltner) Matney & her previous spouse, Reid Sheetz.

Calling hours will be from 4-8 pm, Friday, February 22, 2013 & 10-11 am, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Brenda DeCoursey will officate the 11 am Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary. Novella will be laid to rest in Mooresville Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Oak Park Baptist Church.
