Obituary for Lyle L. Shouse
Lyle L. Shouse, 91, of Camby, passed away Saturday, February 11th, 2023. He was born April 1st, 1931 in Coal City, Indiana to his parents Sylvan and Mildred M. (Lenning) Shouse. He married Doris J. (Hays) Shouse on June 17th, 1956. He was a resident of Camby for most of his life.
Lyle is survived by his loving wife, Doris J. (Hays) Shouse of Camby; one daughter, Becky (Ron) Beasley of Camby; two grandsons: Zachary and Samuel Beasley; and one sister, Sharon Martin. Lyle is preceded in death by both of his parents; and one sister, Janice Dyar.
Lyle was a 1949 graduate of Coal City High School in Coal City, Indiana. He later attended Indiana State College. After college, he joined the United States Army. He was a Sergeant and served during the Korean war from 1952-1953. Lyle was a Manufacturing Engineer for Link Belt for 39 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of Camby Community Church and Evergreen Masonic Lodge #770. He was also a member of NRA and ATA. Lyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and loved to golf. He especially enjoyed and was a very talented trap shooter. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, February 17th and from 12 to 1 pm on Saturday, February 18th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm following visitation on Saturday, February 18th at the funeral home. Lyle will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton.
