Obituary for Lottie E. Howard (Hammons)

Lottie E. (Hammons) Howard, 91, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2015. She was born to Milton and Clara (White) Hammons on February 1, 1924 in Woodburn, KY. She married Raleigh Howard on December 5, 1942.

Lottie was a homemaker. She was a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church. She loved reading and walking. She lived in Mooresville for the past 5 years and Monrovia for most of her life.

Lottie is survived by six children, Evelyn Martin of Mooresville, Wanda Swickard of FL, Jenny Ragan of Camby, Rebecca Sue Foreman of Mooresville, Nancy Walls of Poland, John Howard of Evansville; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Clara Hammons; a daughter, Janet Caywood; and a son, Joe Howard.

Family and friends may gather from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Terry Crist will officiate the 2 p.m. celebration of life service on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary. She will be laid to rest in Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville.
