Obituary for Linda Diane Kearns (Pemberton)
Linda Diane Kearns, 73, gained her angel wings on October 4, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Donald R. Pemberton, S.R and Rosella S. Pemberton on March 21, 1948 in Indianapolis IN.
She retired as an AT&T operator in 2008. She was a nature lover with a special love for hummingbirds. She had a particular bond with her beloved dog Bear. We want to believe in our hearts that she and Bear are together again. She crocheted all her life and donated countless items to the community; which included neonatal units, women and children shelters, and Riley hospitals. She also enjoyed donating to nursing homes, chips and cheese as a late night snack but don’t dare crack a knuckle in her presence or she would kick your ass. Her favorite TV shows were GunSmoke and Dateline. If there were two words to describe Linda they were “strong” and “warrior”.
Linda is survived by her husband, Kenneth. One surviving brother, Donald R. Pemberton, J.R. She was a loving mother of three daughters: Lori, Mandy, and Angie. She was a proud grandmother of nine grandchildren: Kaleigh, Kristiaan, Dakota, Lane, Braydan, Uriah, Kynlee, and Kamri-Jo. She had four great grandchildren: Annie, Julian, Ryan, and Jasper. Linda is preceded in death by both of her parents and one grandson, Bryan Joseph Bain II.
There will be a celebration of life gathering held on Monday Oct. 11th 6:30-8:30 at 5 East, 5 E. Main Street in Mooresville. In memory of Linda, please consider donating in her honor to your local neonatal unit or animal shelter.
