Obituary for Lenora C. McEvoy

Lenora C. (Allen) McEvoy, 90, Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Lenora was born on April 3, 1924 in Cloverdale, IN to the late Hancel and Mary (Williamson) Allen. Lenora married the late John J. McEvoy on April 2, 1989.

Lenora lived 18 years in Cloverdale, IN and most of her life in the Indianapolis and Mooresville area. She worked for Eli Lilly & Company in Creative Packaging for 34 years before retiring in 1987. She was a member of Eternal Life Baptist Church, VFW Ladies Auxillary, Mooresville Senior Center and she was know as Queen of Garage Sales.

Lenora is survived by her son, Frank Lowry of Martinsville; daughter, Wanda Marie Redelman of Avon; 14 grandchildren: Tammy DeWitt, Lynn Lowry, Jeanetta Ballenger, Anita Pelley, Cary Beaven, Michael, Mitzi, Charles, Kevin, Brian and Christopher Miner, Curt Nager, Kelly Anne Thompson and Michael Irwin; several great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. She is also preceded by her parents; husband; son, Gary Lowry; brother, Roy Allen and sister, Essie McVey.

Family and friends may gather 10-11am, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Eternal Life Baptist Church, 8554 East Hendricks County Rd, Mooresville, IN 46158. Pastor Don Endsley will officiate the Celebration of Life Service at 11am, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Eternal Life Baptist Church. Lenora will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary.
