Obituary for Lawrence Ray Catron

Lawrence Ray "Larry" Catron, 61, of Camby, passed away Monday, October 11th, 2021. He was born April 8th, 1960 in Indianapolis to his parents, Benjamin Arthur and Shirley Ann (Griffith) Catron. He married Brenda Kay (Jenkins) Catron on March 2nd, 1979. He was a resident of Mooresville for most of his life.

Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda Kay (Jenkins) Catron of Camby; three children: Christina (Terry) Cox of Indianapolis, Amanda (Jeremy Ford) Catron of Indianapolis, and Carrie (John Jr.) Farrell of Camby; his mother, Shirley Ann (Griffith) Catron; five grandchildren: Logan (Kirsten Maldonado) Manson, McKenzie (Gavin Petty) Catron, Kelsey Ford, Jay Ford, and Aaron Cox; and one sister in law, Karen Brown of Connersville. He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Arthur Catron; one sister, Sharon Catron; and one brother, Rick Catron.

Lawrence was an Auto Mechanic for most of his life. He was a member of Wesleyan Holiness Church. Lawrence loved car shows and was a collector of old items, especially 8 tracks and vintage auto memorabilia. He was a big Ford man. Lawrence was known for being loving and he enjoyed spending time with his family and helping them. When he wasnt doing that, he enjoyed watching Andy Griffith reruns. Lawrence really enjoyed photography and capturing his family and his cars, was his favorite.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, October 15th and from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, October 16th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 16th at the funeral home. Lawrence will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
