Obituary for Larry R Collins

Larry R Collins, 71, of Mooresville, passed away Tuesday, October 13th, 2020. He was born February 11th, 1949 in Indianapolis to his parents, George R. and Patsy Mae (Ramsey) Collins. He spent his childhood in Glenns Valley and grew up in the Mooresville area before moving to and residing in Auburn, Kentucky for 20 years. He later moved back to Mooresville and resided there for the last 22 years.

Larry is survived by his son, Larry R. "Tad" Collins Jr. of Camby; several grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Pinkiston of Camby; three nephews: Eugene Bishop of Plainfield, David Pinkiston of Monrovia, and Gary Wayne Collins of Martinsville; two nieces: Charlotte Weaver and Denise Clark. Larry is preceded in death by both of his parents and two brothers: Gary Collins and Bobby Collins.

Larry was a graduate of Mooresville High School. He worked for Stark, Wetzel & Co. as a Meat Packer in the Processing Department. Larry was a member of Mooresville Senior Center and attended North Madison Baptist Church. He enjoyed crossword puzzles. Larry was a easy-going man, loved life and never complained.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 11 am to 2 pm on Saturday, October 17th at Young Funeral Home, 213 Spring Street, Auburn, Kentucky 42206. Pastor Dennis Payton will officiate a celebration of life service at 2 pm on Saturday, October 17th at the funeral home. Larry will be laid to rest at Felts Cemetery in Auburn, Kentucky. Local arrangements entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
