Obituary for Kyle D. Shields
Kyle D. Shields, 52, of Mooresville, passed away Sunday, May 15th, 2022. He was born June 7th, 1969 in Martinsville to his parents, Dennis L. Shields and Lillian M. (Satterly) Pitcher. Although he was a resident of Monrovia for most of his life, he was a resident of Mooresville for the last three years.
Kyle is survived by his son, Alex Shields and his K9 son, Axel; his granddaughter, Lexi Baechtold of Mooresville; his daughter, Megan Shields of Columbus, Indiana; his fiancé, Jacki Buck of Mooresville; his father, Dennis (Kim) Shields of Monrovia; his mother, Lillian (Satterly) Pitcher of Indianapolis; one brother, Kevin Lee (Shelly) Shields of Indianapolis; step brother, David Pitcher of Indianapolis; close friend and mother of Alex, Heather Ambrose of Mooresville. Kyle is preceded in death by his step father, Lonnie Pitcher.
Kyle attended Monrovia High School and Decatur Central High School. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator and Team Lead for W.E. Beatty in Indianapolis for over 20 years. Kyle was a member of the American Autism and Auto Club. He was an avid car collector and loved restoring cars, with his Rat Rod being his favorite.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 11 am to 2 pm on Friday, May 20th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will follow visitation at 2 pm at the funeral home. Kyle will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant at Hall Cemetery in Hall, Indiana.
