Obituary for Judy K. (Smith) Horton

Judy K. (Smith) Horton, 72, Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Judy was born June 26, 1941 in Indianapolis to the late Jules E. and Dorothy (Moore) Smith Robertson. Judy married Wayne Horton on December 8, 1984.

Judy was a lifetime resident of Indianapolis. She was a 1959 graduate of Decatur Central High School where she was a cheerleader and Majorette. Judy was a Secretary at Stout Field for Indiana State Police Department for 2 years. She was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church and Jobs Daughters.

Judy is survived by her husband; daughter, Theresa Wells of Indianapolis; son, James Dean Baker of Indianapolis; five grandchildren: Steve Wells, Zackery Smith, Devon Smith, Jacob Ramsey and Masyn Ramsey; four stepchildren, Paul Horton of Franklin, Wanetta Johnson of WY, April Moss of New Whiteland and Brian Horton of TX and a sister, Sharon Bruning of Indianapolis.

Family and friends may gather 4-8pm, Monday, May 19, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary and 10-11am, Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Pastor Johnny Garrison will officiate the 11am Service on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Judy will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
