Obituary for Joseph C. Oldham Jr.

Joseph C. Oldham Jr., 86, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by family on December 3, 2015. He was born to Joseph C. and Margaret E. (Small) Oldham Sr. on May 10, 1929 in Evansville. He was a 1949 Luce Township High School Graduate in Richland. He married Clarice (Carver) Oldham on May 24, 1951.

Joseph was a Tool & Die Certified Welder for Allison's, a division of General Motors, in Indianapolis for 30 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Gasburg Baptist Church. He was a past member of Gideons International. He also was a private pilot. He lived in Mooresville for 13 years, Indianapolis for 40 years and his birthplace of Evansville for 21 years.

Joseph is survived by his lovely wife of 64 years, Clarice Oldham of Mooresville; four children, Diane (Ralph) Suntum of Indianapolis, Ronald J. (Phyllis) Oldham of Plainfield, Donna (Gary) Black of KY; Larry (Terry) Oldham of Plainfield; 10 Grandchildren; several great-grandchildern; one brother, Charles Oldham of KY; and a sister, Carolyn Mooney of TN.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2015 and 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Jack Elliott will officiate Joseph's celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary. Joseph will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
