Obituary for Johnny F. Russell
Johnny F. Russell, 79, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2019 with his loving family by his side. He was born to Jessie A. and Leona M. (Rogers) Russell on July 6, 1939 in Huntsville, AL. He married Frances L. (Fehrman) Russell on November 27, 1957.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances Russell of Mooresville; three loving sons, Rusty (Debbie) Russell of Mooresville, Kurt Russell of WA and Mike (Carla) Russell of Mooresville; 13 grandchildren, Cassie, Patience, Dustin, Hannah, Mark, Melissa, Shanna, Shannon, Sarah, Andrew, Adam, Aaron and Aric; 32 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jo Hanson; and four brothers, Ronald, Richard, Barry and Larry Russell. He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and three brothers.
For the past 47 years, Johnny has been owner and operator of Russell's Trailer Repair in Indianapolis. He is a member of Mooresville Church of Christ. He is an Atlanta Braves Fan, IU Men's Basketball fan, NASCAR fan and enjoys fishing. He was a very loving husband, dad, papa, great-papa and friend to all.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 3-8 p.m. on Monday, April 15th and 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16th at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Aric and Dustin Russell, Larry Ping and Ron Roberts will officiate Johnny's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16th at Jones Crossing Banquet Center. He will be laid to rest in Fairfield Cemetery.
