Obituary for Joan R. Wolfe

Joan R. Wolfe, 53, of Plainfield, IN, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2013. Joan was born to Russell & Fannie (Land) Parker on July 5, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN. Joan was a graduate of Manuel High School. Joan married Don Wolfe on November 22, 1991.

Joan was a Collections Manager for Indiana Members Credit Union in Indianapolis, IN for 27 years. Joan has been an inspiration to her fellow coworkers with her positive attitude throughout her illness and has been a rock for many by providing strength and support to others who have faced similar battles. Joan was a member of Indiana Credit Union League. Joan was involved with several Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Walks. Joan also volunteered with Back Pack Attack through work for several years. Joan has lived in Plainfield & Indianapolis, IN for most of her life.

Joan is survived by her husband of 21 years, Don Wolfe of Plainfield, IN; her mother, Fannie (Land) Parker of Indianapolis, IN; 5 children: Jamie Davidson of Lafayette, IN, Rianna Dodson of FL, Travis Wolfe of Plainfield, IN, James Martin of Plainfield, IN & Blair Wolfe of Plainfield, IN; 12 grandchildren, Tyler & Austin Dodson, Abigail Thompson, A.J. Gillum, Alivia Green, Elijah & Jenna Martin, Baleigh, Rylie, Evan, Theron & Titus Wolfe; 1 great grandson; 2 brothers, Ray "Eugene" Parker of Bloomington, IN & Charles Parker of Danville, IN & 2 sisters, Regina Parker of Indianapolis, IN & Barbara Pulliam of Greenwood, IN. Joan is preceded in death by her father, Russell Parker.

Family & friends may attend calling hours from 3-6 pm on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Jim Davidson will officiate the 6 pm Celebration of Life Service on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary.
