Obituary for Jennifer C. Shelley (Soladine)
Jennifer C. (Soladine) Shelley, 80, of Camby, passed away Thursday, April 2nd, 2020. She was born February 24th, 1940 in Camby to her parents, Carl and Ethel (Blase) Soladine. She married K. Merrill Shelley on November 13th, 1960. She was a lifetime resident of Camby.
Jennifer is survived by her three loving children, Shannon R. (Jon) Stancil of Indianapolis, Shawn L. Shelley of Indianapolis, and Derek C. (Jeroyl) Shelley of Columbus; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and three brothers, Keith Soladine of Camby, John Soladine of Camby, and Kim Soladine of Indianapolis. Jennifer is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, K. Merrill Shelley; a daughter, Heather Shelley; a sister Judy Thorpe; and a granddaughter, Kerrigan G Shelley.
Jennifer was a 1958 graduate of Decatur Central High School, She was a member of First Baptist Church of Plainfield. She was a former member of Jobs Daughters of West Newton and Friendswood Baptist Church Ladies Aid and Camby Women's Club. Jennifer was a very active and apart of the Decatur Alumni Association. She loved to sew and cook. She enjoyed attending garage sales and auctions. She especially loved and spending time with her family.
Due to the current unprecedented guidelines limiting public gatherings, there will be a private gathering at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville with a private graveside service officiated by Pastor Joyce Castleman to follow. Jennifer will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton.
