Obituary for Jeff Lorin Becker

Jeff Lorin Becker, 50, of Los Angeles, CA, passed away on February 25, 2015. Jeff was born to Jack Lorin and Ruth Ann (Lawrence) Becker on May 13, 1964 in Saginaw, MI. He graduated from Hemlock High School in 1982, where he played basketball and went on to obtain his Associates Degree in Architecture from Delta Community College.

Jeff was an Architect for Gensler in Los Angeles, CA for 8 years. Previously, he worked for Ghafari Associates in Detroit, MI and DeMattia Group in Plymouth, MI. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He taught Sunday school to 5th and 6th graders. He was President of the Band Boosters at Redford Union High School. He had many hobbies including playing baseball for Johnson Company and for the church. He has lived in California since 2006 and in Michigan for 42 years.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Jack Lorin and Ruth Ann (Lawrence) Becker of Camby, IN; two daughters, April (Josh) Severs of Highland, IN and HollyAnn (Issac) Wright of Ewing, NE; a sister, Annette (Michael) Piotrowski of Indianapolis, IN; two nephews, Mickey and Kevin Piotrowski and a beloved pet companion, Dora Yoda Becker. He was previously married to Melinda Miller for 28 years, who he had two daughters with, April and HollyAnn.

Family and friends may gather from 10:30a.m.-12:00 noon, Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Charles Paxton will officiate the 12 noon celebration of life service on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary.
