Obituary for Jay William Jessup

Jay William Jessup, 58, of Bedford, IN, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2013. Jay was born to William & Katherine (Kerrick) Jessup on August 12, 1954 with twin sister, Jill Beth Weufling in Indianapolis, IN. Jay bravely served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1972-1978.

Jay worked in Maintenance for the United States Postal Service for 35 years, retiring in 2011. Jay was a 1/4 Shoshoni Indian. He was a member of Centinary Christian Church. Jay found joy in Bible Studies & enjoyed kite flying. He donated $1,000 to his sisters church. Jay was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, friend and faithful servant of the Lord. He has lived in Bedford, IN for the past year, Paragon, IN for 10 years and several years in his birthplace of Indianapolis, IN.

Jay is survived by 2 children, Joey William Jessup & Dusty Aelyne Brown; 4 grandchildren, Jazmin, Hope, Matthew & Kathryn Gossman; adopted Pet bovier dog, "Kole"; a twin sister, Jill Beth Weufling;& a brother, Jerald Jessup. Jay is preceded in death by his parents, William & Katherine (Kerrick) Jessup; a brother, Jeffery Jessup & a sister, Janine.

Calling hours for Jay will be from 11-1 pm, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. There will be a 1 pm Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary.
