Obituary for Jack Lee Allender

Jack Lee Allender, 65, of Camby, passed away peacefully on Nov. 7, 2014. Jack was born to Floyd "Dutch" and Juanita F. (Henderson) Allender on Feb. 24, 1949 in Indianapolis. Jack married Betty (Martin) Allender on Aug. 28, 1965.

Jack was a Millright for Chrysler Corp. in Indianapolis for 35 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Eternal Life Church in Indianapolis and UAW Local. He has lived in the Camby area for most of his life.

Jack is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Allender of Camby; a daughter, Tina Allender of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Emily (Nathan) Horatschki of Beech Grove; a great grandson, Jaxon Cory Horatschki; five sisters, Mildred (Billy) Burnside of Columbus, Loretta Bolin of Monrovia, Barbara (Leonard) Scott of Mooresville, twin, Janet (Tony) Cannon of Indianapolis and Rhonda (Rodney) Halligan of Edinburgh and a sister in law, Vivian Allender. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd "Dutch" and Juanita F. Allender; a son, Jackie Allender and a brother, Dutchie Allender Jr.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 and noon- 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Mark Pingleton will officiate the 1 p.m. celebration of life service on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center. Jack will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
