Obituary for Ivan Raymond Marcov

Ivan Raymond Marcov, 66, of Martinsville, passed away Friday, February 28th, 2020. He was born January 14th, 1954 in Dubuque, Iowa to his parents, Ryan Christopher Marcov and Margaret Lee (Byas) Earles. He married Vadyes (McQueen) Marcov on May 19th, 1990. Ivan grew up in Plainfield and was a resident of Morgan County since 1992.

Ivan is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Vadyes (McQueen) Marcov of Martinsville; three children, Eric (Karina) Marcov of Indianapolis, Kelly (Brad) Jones of Fishers, and Shawn Duncan of Illinois; four grandchildren, Jacob Marcov, Elijah Marcov, Camden Jones, and Charlotte Jones; two brothers, Keith Earles and Raymond Marcov; and one sister, Stefani Turco. Ivan is preceded in death by both of his parents; a brother, Alex Marcov; and a sister, Lisa Earles.

Ivan was a 1972 graduate of Ben Davis High School. He worked for 45 years in the auto transmission business and was the owner of AAMCO Transmission on West Washington St. in Indianapolis from 2001 until 2015 when he retired. Ivan is a past member of Grace Church. He was currently a member of Hoosier Harvest Church. He worked with the Indiana Dream Team mentoring young men. Ivan enjoyed serving in the kids, youth, and men's ministries and serving in the kitchen ministry. Ivan also enjoyed water skiing and all things with classic cars.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastors Chris Page and Mike Aldridge will officiate the celebration of life service immediately following the visitation at 12 noon in the Funeral Home. Ivan's family would like to invite their family and friends to join them following the service at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next to Jones Family Mortuary, for a luncheon and more time to share memories and stories about Ivan. Ivan will be laid to rest on Thursday, March 5, 2020 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, IN.
