Ida Catherine (Blaylock) Ingle, 93, of Camby, passed away Thursday, May 30th, 2024. She was born December 19th, 1930 in Decatur, Illinois to her parents, Pleasant Blaylock and Magdalen Mae (Fuller) Blaylock-Barbe. She married Junis Sherman Ingle on January 31st. 1948. She lived in Camby for most of her life.
Ida is survived by her loving husband of 76 years, Junis Sherman Ingle of Camby; one son, Michael A. Ingle (Andrea) of Greenwood; one daughter, Deborah Demeter (Rick) of Florida; seven grandchildren: Joseph Ingle Jr., Gregory Goebel, Cynthia Ingle, Regina Pointer, Jason Ingle, Hillary Ingle, and Veronica Ingle; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and two sisters: Mary Fortner and Barbara Reimer. Ida is preceded in death by both of her parents; and three sons: John R. Ingle, David S. Ingle, and Joseph S. Ingle.
Ida attended St. John's Academy Catholic Girls School. She worked at RCA in Indianapolis as a Circuit Board Assembly Line worker for 30 years. Ida was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Mooresville, where she also sang in the choir for many years. She loved being outdoors and was an avid archery participant. Ida was a member of White Lick Archery Club and through her passion, she won three Indiana Sate Archery Championships. Ida also enjoyed bow hunting. She loved to spend time with her family as well as sew and crochet blankets for those she loved. She was known by many as a very giving woman.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, June 3rd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville and from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 4th at Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 am following visitation on Tuesday, June 4th at the church. Ida will be laid to rest at Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye, Indiana.
