Obituary for Helen Joyce Anderson

Helen "Joyce" Anderson, 86, of Mooresville passed away peacefully on Dec. 24, 2014. Joyce was born to Bryan and Ovie (Vinson) Smith on Mar. 7, 1928 in Summershade, KY. She was a 1946 Graduate of Summershade High School in KY. She married Guy H. Anderson on Dec. 23, 1946.

Joyce was a Homemaker. She loved traveling, bingo, cooking and doing things with family. She has lived in Mooresville for most of her life and 18 years in her birthplace of Summershade, KY.

Joyce is survived by three children, Ronnie (Debbie) Anderson of Bargesville, Teresa (George) Quinn of Mooresville and Brian (Heather) Anderson of Mooresville; four grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and three sisters, Evelyn and Betty Anderson of KY and Marjorie Huff of Greenwood. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Bryan and Ovie Smith; husband, Guy H. Anderson; four brothers and 1 sister .

Family and friends may attend calling hours from 2-6 p.m on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 and from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Chaplain George Watkins will officiate the 11 a.m. celebration of life service on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary. Joyce will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
