Obituary for Harold E. Dietrich

Harold E. Dietrich, 73, of Martinsville, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2014. Harold was born to Otto R. & Katherine Bernice "Babe" (Cross) Dietrich on June 27, 1941 in Indianapolis. Harold graduated from Wood High School. Harold married Beverly J. "Jeannie" (Bullock) Dietrich on September 15, 1961. Harold was an Air Force Veteran.

Harold was a Conductor for the Railroad for 47 years. Previously, he worked for Van Camp Pork and Beans in Indianapolis. He was a life time member of Mooresville VFW #1111 and a 27 year member of Indianapolis Masonic Lodge #669. He has lived in Martinsville since 2002 and lived most of his life in Indianapolis.

Harold is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly "Jeannie" Dietrich of Martinsville; two sons, Harold E. Dietrich Jr. of Greenwood and Darin E. Dietrich of Martinsville; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and Raymond Dietrich and three sisters, Marlene Wall, Mary Puttman & Jerry Keatts. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Katherine "Babe" Dietrich and one brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Dietrich.

Family and friends may attend calling hours from 4-8 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2014 and 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, Mooresville, next door to Jones Family Mortuary. Pastor David Ball will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, Mooresville. Harold will be laid to rest in Nebo Memorial Park, Martinsville.
