Gulia M. (Davenport) Miller, 91, of Mooresville, passed away Sunday, February 20th, 2022. She was born August 16th, 1930 in Mooresville to her parents, Frank and Mary (McElwain) Davenport. She was married to the late Charles Melvin Miller. She was previously married to Raymond C. Ozment. She was a lifelong resident of Mooresville.

Gulia is survived by her four children: Charles Ozment of Florida, Linda Allison of Mooresville, Rosemary Curry of Mooresville, and Joanna (William) Jones of Mooresville and Jeanne Camden; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one brother, James Davenport. Gulia is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Charles Melvin Miller; her first husband, Raymond C. Ozment; two brothers: Leroy and Eddie Davenport; and one sister, Elsie Pope.

Gulia was a Homemaker but also worked at Automotive Armature in Mooresville for over 25 years before retiring. She was a member of Mooresville Free Methodist Church, where she was involved with the Ladies Group. Gulia loved to bake cakes, including wedding and birthday cakes. Around the holidays, she loved to make Christmas candy. Gulia was known by many as a very kind hearted woman that loved children.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 11 am to 12 pm (Noon) on Sunday, February 27th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will held at 12 pm (Noon) following visitation at the funeral home. Gulia will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
