Obituary for Grace Marie Dillon

Grace Marie Dillon, 97, of Monrovia, IN, died on May 13, 2012. Grace was born to Fred Phillips & Mary (Hiestand) Nungester on December 26, 1914 in Morgan County, IN. Grace married Harold Dillon on September 15, 1932.

Grace graduated from Monrovia High School in 1932. Grace was a Cafeteria Worker for Monroe-Gregg Schools for 35 years, retiring in 1982. Grace was a member of Monrovia First United Methodist Church. Grace has lived in Monrovia, IN most of her life. Grace also enjoyed gardening, crocheting & making dolls.

Grace is survived by her son, Robert (Phyliss) Dillon of Plainfield, IN; 3 grandchildren, Gary (Carol) Dillon of Plainfield, IN, Karen (Paul) Johnson of Coatesville, IN & Rhonda Dillon of Greencastle, IN; 3 great grandchildren, Ryan (Leah) Dillon of Plainfield, IN, Rusty (Keli) Dillon of Danville, IN & Travis (Teresa) Johnson of Coatesville, IN; 5 great great grandchildren, Reece Dillon, Jonas & Jude Johnson, Mallory Dillon & Jayde Brown and a sister in law, Maralou Pryor. Grace is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Phillips & Mary (Hiestand) Nungester; husband, Harold Dillon; daughter in law, Mary (Young) Dillon; 2 sisters, Hazel Bean & Florence Allen & 3 brothers, Charlie, David & Ray Phillips.

Calling for Grace will be from 4-7pm, Wednesday, May 16, 2012 & 9-10am, Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Jonie Nester will officiate the 10am funeral service on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary. Grace will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hall, IN.

Memorial Contibutions can be made to Monrovia First United Methodist Church.
