Obituary for Glenda Sue Gentry (Goble)
Glenda Sue (Goble) Gentry, 61, of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, October 31st, 2021. She was born July 21st, 1960 in Indianapolis to her parents, Johnnie Goble Sr. and Ruby (Bowers) Dorney. She married Clifton Paul Gentry on May 11th, 1984. She was a previous resident of Mooresville for 40 years and lived in Martinsville for the last 17 years.
Glenda is survived by her husband, Clifton Paul Gentry of Martinsville; four children: Cliff (Heather) Gentry II of Ft. Meyers, Florida, Justin (Emily) Gentry of Maryville, Tennessee, Rachael (Matt) Hoffman of Franklin, and Sarah Gentry of Martinsville; eight grandchildren: Kayla Hoffman, Ashlynn Gentry, Kamryn Hoffman, Cliff Gentry III, Colton Gentry, Eliana Gentry, Madison Gentry, and Juliana Gentry; two sisters: Sharon (Jerry) Karst of St. Peters, Missouri and Barb (Darryl) Saylor of Martinsville; and two brothers: Johnnie Goble of Red Bolling Springs, Tennessee and Roger Goble of Mooresville. Glenda is preceded in death by both of her parents and granddaughter, Faith Gentry.
Glenda was a 1978 graduate of Monrovia High School. She was currently a Manager at Floors to Go in Indianapolis for 27 years. Glenda loved spending time with her husband, kids and grandkids. She will always be known for being compassionate and loving.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 on Thursday, November 4th and from 10 to 11 am on Friday, November 5th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service officiated by Pastor David Ball, will be held at11 am on Friday, November 5th at the funeral home. Glenda will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
