Obituary for Fred Taylor

Fred Taylor, 58, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2014. Fred was born to Fred H. and Mary Elizabeth (Atwood) Taylor on December 25, 1955 in Liberty, KY. Fred graduated from Mooresville High School in 1973 and attended two years of college. Fred married Debbie (Pease) Taylor on December 8, 1989.

For the past 24 years, Fred was Co-Owner-Operator of Indy Radiator in Mooresville. He enjoyed being helpful to everyone. He has lived in Mooresville for 54 years and his birthplace of Liberty, KY for 4 years.

Fred is survived by his wife of 24 years, Debbie Taylor of Mooresville; three children, Steven (Dawn) Taylor of Mooresville, Amy (Jason) Phelps of Martinsville and Melvin (Christie) Taylor Jr. of Mooresville; five grandchildren, Cole, Clay and Kaesyn Taylor, Zoe and Logan Phelps; a brother, Jerry Taylor of Mooresville and a sister, Phyllis Bain of Mooresville. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Fred H. and Mary Elizabeth (Atwood) Taylor.

Family and friends may attend calling hours from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014 and 9-10 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Lyman Taylor will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Fred will be laid to rest in Mooresville Cemetery.
